Emergencies, disasters, or accidents can happen at any time and without warning. Even though we cannot always anticipate or prevent them, we can mitigate their effects through proper preparation.
USC has devoted extensive resources to planning and preparing for emergencies, including fires, earthquakes, and all other natural or human-caused disasters. These preparations are continually refined, rehearsed and improved.
The links below provide basic information and guidelines on how to respond in a variety of potential emergency situations, including basic safe evacuation procedures. Please take time to become familiar with these guidelines and make your own emergency or disaster preparations.
